Region: Alentejo, Portugal
Situated south of the Sierra Louções in the district of Portalegre, protected from the north winds and east. Planted in granite and schist land very poor, at an altitude ranging between 330 and 385 meters, in the IP system
GRAPES: Aragonês, Trincadeira and Alicante Bouschet
HARVEST: Harvested manually, on the 3rd week of August 2005.
VINIFICATION: Cooling of the grapes to 12ºC, stemming and crushing mill for stainless steel with steps, long fermentation temperature of 26ºC., After maceration of the grapes.
STAGE: In French oak barrels “Allier” and American for 12 months.
OENOLOGY: António Ventura
The aroma shows notes of ripe red fruits and some dark chocolate and combined with quality wood in which it aged. In the mouth has sharply creased tannin structure to allow good evolution in the bottle for a few years.
Roasted meats in the oven with spicy sauces and also butter and hard cheeses.
Store in a cool dry place in a horizontal position under the sunlight.
