Louren\u00e7o do Bairro, DOC Bairrada, Portugal<\/p>\n<p>Grapes: 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Touriga Nacional, 10% Merlot<\/p>\n<p>Technical Data:<br \/>\npH &#8211; 3.76<br \/>\nTotal Acidity &#8211; 5.2 g\/lt (expressed as tartaric acid)<br \/>\nResidual Sugar &#8211; 1.4 g\/lt<br \/>\nAlcohol &#8211; 14.6%<\/p>\n<p>Terroir:<br \/>\nAtlantic-influenced climate, protected by the Caramulo and Bu\u00e7aco mountains. Vineyards planted at high density (up to 6,172 vines per hectare) on gentle hills of clay-limestone soils, in the region&#8217;s famous limestone patch. Vineyards are entirely dry-farmed.<\/p>\n<p>Aging:<br \/>\nThe wine is aged for 24 years in 225-liter French oak barrels (new and used). The final blend ages for an additional 6 years in the bottle before being released.<\/p>\n<p>Tasting Notes:<br \/>\nCompletely opaque, ruby-colored center. Intense aromas of dark fruits, cedar, leather, smoke, chocolate, and light wood toast. Full-bodied, with textured, almost powdery tannins. Vibrant acidity that persists throughout.
