Terra Prima was the first port wine to be produced using only grapes from organic ( biologic ) viticulture.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Fonseca was a pioneer of organic viticulture in the Douro Valley.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Of the surface of its most iconic property, Quinta do Panascal in T\u00e1vora Valley, was converted to organic viticulture in 1992. Today, another property company, Quinta de Santo Ant\u00f3nio in the Valley Pinhao is fully certified for organic production.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Fonseca also developed partnerships with other producers who currently practicing organic viticulture in the Douro Valley.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
In 2002 the production of Port wine made entirely from grapes coming from certified organic viticulture has become reality.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
This was made possible by an agreement with an expert distiller, which provide brandy produced from organic farming grapes.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
The result was the Terra Prima Reserve, an elegant batch of reserve wines, which shows fresh and vibrant fruit, in which the organic viticulture allowed themselves aromas of traditional varieties of port wine to express themselves to the fullest.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Terra Prima Reserve is certified as made from grapes grown organically by SOCERT, the Portuguese certification body Ecocert is part of the European certification system.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

A wine wonderfully rich and concentrated Porto, with fantastic flavor and texture. It has an opulent nose of black fruits, which extend to the mouth, showing layers intense flavors of wild fruit, plum and cherry, supported by firm tannins but well integrated. <\/span><\/em><\/div>\n
Reserve a Port with a delicious texture that is velvety, soft, juicy and voluminous.<\/span><\/em><\/div>\n
