Intense ruby color.\u00a0<\/span>The nose is full of ripe black fruits with \u00a0<\/span>attractive notes of spice and jam\u00a0<\/span>blackberries.\u00a0<\/span>The palate is full-bodied with prunes and\u00a0<\/span>a very long finish, slightly\u00a0<\/span>dry, with a hint of spice.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

The Dow’s LBV can be enjoyed in\u00a0<\/span>any time and goes well with all types\u00a0<\/span>chocolate-based desserts, and\u00a0<\/span>as hard cheeses or even a cheese\u00a0<\/span>goat.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

The wine year<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
In his vintage report, compiled in\u00a0<\/span>October 2009, Paul Symington wrote,\u00a0<\/span>“This has been a challenging year for the\u00a0<\/span>Douro people and for wine\u00a0<\/span>produce. Three years in a row dry\u00a0<\/span>region like ours is still complicated\u00a0<\/span>plus the already difficult task of exploring vineyards\u00a0<\/span>mountain. ”\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
The combination of drought and intense heat,\u00a0<\/span>translated into production substantially\u00a0<\/span>lower. Furthermore, screening\u00a0<\/span>rigorous fruit on the carpets of choice\u00a0<\/span>also contributed to a more harvest\u00a0<\/span>short. However, adaptability and resistance\u00a0<\/span>the Douro varieties won the Uso\u00a0<\/span>adverse, with Touriga Franca varieties and\u00a0<\/span>Touriga Nacional – in particular – to disclose\u00a0<\/span>good performances.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
