Port Wine DOW’S 10 Years Old Tawny 37,5cl – Half bottle
375ml – half bottle
Dow’s is owned and managed by the fourth generation of the Symington family, Port producers since the 19th Century. The family, whose experience dates back over 100 years, supervises all the vineyards, winemaking and ageing of this wine. Dow’s owns two of the Douro’s finest Quintas, Senhora da Ribeira and Bomfim. They were acquired in 1890 and 1896, making Dow?s one of the first houses to invest in premium vineyards.
10 YEARS OLD TAWNY
Dow’s old Tawnies are well known for their remarkable raisiny, dried fruit flavours, exquisite creamy texture and an exceptionally long, lingering and traditionally drier finish. This 10 Year Old Port is smooth, well balanced and mature and is ready for drinking now. Try serving chilled in warm weather.
Tasting Notes
Dow’s 10 Years Old Tawny has a bright tawny colour. On the nose brimming with aromas of candied fruit and toffee, beautifully combined with some mature ripe fruit. On the palate vibrant nutty flavours, perfect balance and with a lovely long finish.
Food pairing suggestions and serving
Dow’s 10 Years Old Tawny is a perfect match to sweet pastries, such as apple pie with cinnamon. Taste slightly chilled to appreciate the full complexity and sensuous pleasure of this wine. An excellent alternative to Vintage Port at less formal occasions. Will keep for some weeks after opening.
