Port Wine DOW’S 30 Years Old Tawny
wood box 75cl
Dow’s is owned and managed by the fourth generation of the Symington family, Port producers since the 19th Century. The family, whose experience dates back over 100 years, supervises all the vineyards, winemaking and ageing of this wine. Dow’s owns two of the Douro?s finest Quintas, Senhora da Ribeira and Bomfim. They were acquired in 1890 and 1896, making Dow’s one of the first houses to invest in premium vineyards.
30 YEARS OLD TAWNY
Dow’s old Tawnies are well known for their remarkable raisiny, dried fruit flavours,
exquisite creamy texture and an exceptionally long, lingering finish. Dow?s 30 Years Old Tawny is made exclusively from grapes sourced at ?A? classified vineyards (the highest), which include Dow’s Quinta do Bomfim and Quinta da Senhora da Ribeira, two of the very best vineyards in the Douro valley. This enviable position is reflected in the excellent quality and consistency of the style evident in Dow’s 30 Years Old Tawny.
Tasting Notes
This 30 Years Old Port is a beautifully mature wine of great distinction. Pale and delicate, it has superb complexity and style. With a concentrated and nutty nose and a full, fresh and lingering finish. It is a very skilful blend, creating an excellent balance between nutty oak and raisin fruit flavours.

Great colour; excellent nose; good acidity and purity. A long, lingering palate that is packed with dense fruit and hints of warm spice. The finish is long and very clean.

As for the tawny ports from Dow, they can also be superb. The 30-year-old Tawny has ascent of sweet saddle leather, hazelnuts, and rich fruit.
