Port Wine Fonseca Guimaraens Vintage 2004 75cl
TASTING NOTES
The fresh and intoxicating aromas of blackberry are enhanced by a wonderfully scented and quality.
Huge depth and structure in this port wine very well tuned. Everything is in harmony and perfectly balanced. The black berries flavors marry deliciously with the tannins, leaving the mouth watering for more. A very good wine.

NOVEMBER 2007-90 POINTS
“It shows abundant crushed wild fruit and wet earth character. Voluminous, soft and velvety, with huge blackberry, licorice and mineral character. Generously fruity style. Very sweet.”
NOTES OF THE YEAR
The winter of 2003/2004 was very dry, with only 1/3 of rainfall recorded in the previous winter. Lack of water during the early growing season significantly reduced the risk of disease. In July, the biggest concern fell on the possibility of vineyards do not have the capacity to sufficiently ripen the grapes, due to the drastic shortage of water.
The vintage stood out by perfect weather conditions throughout the period. The young Ports show good structure with very fresh aromas of wild berries, the result of a maturation period of relatively cooler than normal.
