Wine Quinta do Pinto Tinta Miúda Red Limited Edition 2017 75cl
The wine:
Produced with Tinta Miúda, one of the most representative grape varieties of the region and the history of the Quinta. It is a single variety of Old Vines, fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged in French oak barrels, where we intend to express the typicality in its splendor.
Geology: clay-limestone, originating from the pre-Jurassic period, with clayey and frank texture. Gentle slopes with southern exposure.
The winemaking:
At the entrance to the cellar, a sorting table in order to select the best grapes. Fermented with indigenous yeasts in cement tanks at a temperature between 26 and 28ºC. This was followed by a 2-week post-fermentation maceration period, which promoted greater volume in the mouth and subsequent malolactic fermentation in the vat.
The stage:
The wine aged for 12 months in used French oak barrels.
Tasting notes:
bright ruby color
Rich, balsamic aroma, with notes of spices and pepper, forest fruits and silica, integrated with touches of coffee and dark chocolate.
In the mouth it is elegant, with silky and very present tannins, with notes of forest fruits standing out. The very well integrated toast gives notes of chocolate, coffee and spices. gives us a long and voluminous aftertaste.
Service suggestion:
Temperature 16 to 18º C.
Accompanying game dishes, red meat, such as roast beef.
