It is a port wine distinguished by smoothness of taste, and subjected to aging in oak casks, produces a Tawny colored, refined character, with aftertaste of dried fruit.
Tasting notes
Bright red-auburn color. Ripe fruit nose honeydew, with aromas of figs and prunes, enhanced by an attractive character wood and spices. Soft and round on the palate, full of rich and engaging flavors.
Suggestions
The Tawny is a delicious dessert wine, and harmonize particularly well with almond flavors, berries or dark chocolate. You can also follow intense cheeses, blue-veined. It is excellent at the end of the meals, as culmination of a pleasant evening, only served with toasted almonds or walnuts. Benefits if served slightly chilled, particularly on hot days.
