Climate: hot summers, dry and long.
Short and mild winter with rainfall concentrated between October and February and occasionally strong in April. Privileged microclimate due to the proximity of the Atlantic enjoying mild and constant climate and the protection given by the Monchique mountains against the northernmost winds.
Winemaking:
Cold maceration and fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel. Malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels.
Maturation:
18 months in French oak barrels. Stage 8 eight months in bottle.
Color: intense ruby with nuances.
Aroma: Intense aroma of black and red fruits; good baunilhados.
Taste: Voluminous, soft and elegant. Rounded tannins and sweetened.
Noble acidity. Light toasted caramel nuances.
Final: The well-integrated tannins ensure a long and aromatic finish.
Gastronomy: Ideal with sausages and cured meats, red meat, or a good selection of cheeses. The fish and seafood dishes are also a good choice. Consume at 18ºC.
Save: In horizontal, dark, well-ventilated to about 16ºC.
