Port Wine Taylor’s Single Harvest 1968 75cl
Taylor’s has one of the largest wine reserves of Porto aged in cask, one of the largest of any producer. It includes a collection of rare crops. These Port wines, from one year to reach maturation in old oak barrels of harvest date on the label. Taylor’s made the decision to annually launch a limited edition of a Harvest 50 years.
Tasting Notes
During the five decades of aging in oak barrels, this wine has acquired an attractive pale mahogany color with amber and olive reflections. On the nose the wine offers elegant woody aromas and complex spices, nuts and cigar box notes a velvety background of caramel and molasses. The velvety palate is evidenced by a lively acidity that gives the wine an attractive freshness despite its age. The finish is extremely long, with rich flavors of black pepper and spices, persistent palate. Finely made and beautifully balanced, this rare Harvest is surely an exceptional tribute to the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of a person or an event.
