Tasting notes
Color: Dark amber, clear, with golden reflections
Aromas: A bouquet of great complexity and character. Exuberant with notes of toasted wood, dried fruits, sweet spices reminiscent of vanilla, saffron, ripe fruit chutney, dried leaves and tea.
Palate: Very balanced, rich and smooth. Medium sweet, with a long finish. Shows notes of chutney and resinous woods such as cedar.

Main areas of the Bual vineyard: Calheta, Arco and Estreito da Calheta, south coast.

Harvest: Manual, with qualitative selection, over several weeks according to the stage of ripeness.
Maturation / Aging: Canteira system, in 650 L barrels (canteira pipes) at room temperature until the month of bottling.
Geographic location: Madeira Island, Portugal. Located in the Atlantic Ocean, approximately 900 km from the Portuguese coast and 600 km from Africa.
Soil type: Various mixtures of volcanic soils, derived mainly from basalt, trachyte, tufa, slag and conglomerates.
Climate: Temperate with oceanic characteristics, with variations in temperature, humidity and rainfall depending on the altitude.
Gastronomic pairing: Excellent as a digestive, it is a good wine for meditation
