“My whole life has been dedicated to wine and never, at any moment, has my passion slowed down”, says António Saramago, the oenologist who has been active in Portugal for the longest time.

With more than 60 years of dedication to wine, the winemaker is the master of the Castelão variety, typical of the Setúbal Peninsula, knowing it like few others.

After several decades creating wines of excellence, he helped build reference brands, such as Tapada de Coelheiros, now dedicated solely to AS Vinhos, which he created with his wife and children, his own project, in the land where he was born.

In addition to the award-winning reds, based at Castelão, its sublime Setúbal muscats have received magnificent reviews.
