Tasting Notes
Pale mahogany core surrounded by a broad pale gold border with subtle olive reflections. In the first impression, the wine is ethereal, but soon it begins to unfold layer after layer of multidimensional aromas. The first to appear are notes of sawn wood and cigar leaf, on a background of cedar, balm and citrus. This is followed by a smooth and soft redolence of marzipan, nuts and coffee, with notes of sultana and plum and spicy notes of black pepper and cardamom. Finally, the nose opens in a discreet salty dimension, with notes of roasted and wild herbs. In the mouth, the wine has a smooth and velvety texture. Rich, dense and sumptuous, it coats the tongue with opulent and wonderful coffee and caramel flavor with hints of nut and candied orange peel, but with a remarkable freshness of the current of lively acidity that runs through the palate to the very long and extraordinary finish. A wonderfully elegant port, finely made and beautifully matured, which provides a wave of rich flavor with each sip.
