Wine Quinta do Pinto Reserva Touriga Nacional Red 2016 75cl

This wine, obtained exclusively from selected bunches of Touriga Nacional, a variety whose profile has been expressing itself, harvest after harvest, in a differentiated way in the terroir of Quinta, reveals an exuberant combination, which combines power and elegance, in perfect harmony.

The viticulture
Geology: clay-limestone soils, originating from the Jurassic period, with clayey and frank texture. Gentle slopes with southern exposure. Careful management of the vegetation to optimize the aromatic potential of the grape.
Cultivation method: integrated production.

The winemaking:
Manual harvest in a box and subsequent selection of the best bunches at the entrance to the cellar. Alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts in masonry deposit under controlled temperature for 14 days.
Malolactic fermentation follows.

After 12 months aging in French oak barrels, barrel-by-barrel tasting was carried out, and, among the best, the 35 that best suited this profile of elegance were selected.

Tasting notes:

Garnet color loaded with violet tones.
Aromas with notes of wild berries, blackcurrant and blackberry, as well as hints of chocolate and tobacco.
In the mouth it presents a voluptuous entry with a very good texture, well-marked acidity and elegant and silky tannins. Finishes long, fresh and elegant.

Ideal tasting at a temperature of 16° to 18° c.

Accompaniment: red meat and game dishes, as well as various cheeses.
