The wine:
“Zé da Leonor” Farmer as he is known in the area, having acquired Quinta Nova at the beginning of the last century, he began the project that culminated in the production of this wine.
Today, after four generations, his grandson and great-grandchildren have recovered the Quinta.
They planted a new vineyard, built a wine cellar and now produce a wine named after him – “Zé da Leonor” – which, just like it, reveals the character and strong personality that we want to pass on to the next generations.
Special Designation: Grande Escolha
Terroir: Sandy loam soil with round pebbles, on a south-facing slope, with harsh winters and hot, dry summers.
Production: 600 bottles

Serving suggestion: Duck leg with creamy truffle risotto and smoked salmon.
Vinification:
Fermentation in stainless steel vats at 12ºC, followed by the final fermentation in 500 L French oak barrels with fine lees agitation.
Ageing:
6 months in 500 L French oak barrels
Tasting Notes:
Bright golden color, complex nose with notes of white chocolate and light toast from the barrel. Wide, structured and fresh mouth.
Serve at 12-14ºC
