Sharish Blue Magic is a semi-dry gin, the distillation is based on strawberry and raspberry fruits. Aligning with these sweet and fresh flavors is also its characteristic blue color, which is caused by the post-blend infusion of the Clitoria Ternatea flower, a variety of tropical pea, whose flower has a strong blue dye and antioxidant richness.

The name “Blue Magic” comes from the addition of tonic water, which in reaction with citric acid, changes the color from blue to pink or lilac.

Sharish Gin was founded in 2014, in Reguengos de Monsaraz and is the result of recipe inspirations that recover the smells that surrounded the childhood of António Cuco, the founder.

With the passion to give life to a project that he has always loved, António Cuco creates the first Gin Interpretation Center in the Iberian Peninsula, obeying the philosophy “Slowly distilled in Alentejo”.

Nowadays, the premium brand is in constant innovation of its products and expansion in the market.

Among the botanicals we can find strawberry, fresh raspberries, cinnamon, cardamom, lemon, angelica root, ginger, licorice, coriander seed and juniper.

The star of this new Gin is a flower named Clitoria Ternatea which gives the Gin a blue tone without the use of artificial dyes.

Sharish Blue Magic has a magical touch, as when added to tonic water the blue will be transformed into a light pink.

Gin Sharish takes its name from the town of Monsaraz (sharish means xara, jara, or cistus). “Mont Sharish would mean a mount erected in a thicket of cistus, later originating Monsaraz”.
