Winemaking: The grapes of different varieties were harvested according to their ripeness to 20 kg boxes and immediately vinified. Without de-stemming, the wine fermented in vats with treading feet. After fermentation the wine was discharged into containers for casks of large Portuguese oak, and mahogany macacauba ensued malolactic fermentation. The wine aged for 24 months in these casks, after which it proceeded to bottling. The bottle stage lasted 24 months after the wine has been placed on the market
Tasting notes:
Deep, tightly closed ruby. Complex and concentrated, intense, with aromas of ripe berries, spices, and black olive paste.
On the palate, it is very consistent and expressive, with firm but fine tannins, with layers of fruit, mint, and tobacco delivering excellent acidity, and a long finish.
Its unique tannin structure enhances long bottle aging and can significantly improve upon cellaring for two decades, or even longer.
