Port Wine DOW’S White Extra Dry 75cl
Dow’s is owned and managed by the fourth generation of the Symington family, Port producers since the 19th Century. The family, whose experience dates back over 100 years, supervises all the vineyards, winemaking and ageing of this wine. Dow’s owns two of the Douro’s finest Quintas, Senhora da Ribeira and Bomfim. They were acquired in 1890 and 1896, making Dow’s one of the first houses to invest in premium vineyards.
Extra Dry White
Produced in the Douro Valley, from traditional white grape varieties such as Malvasia Fina, Viosinho, Rabigato and Codega. 100% fermented off the skins with natural yeast at between 18-22ºc. The fermentation was stopped once the must had fermented to the desired degree of dryness, and fortification took place with grape brandy at 77% v/v. Dow’s Extra Dry White was aged in oak casks for an average of 3 years at our lodges in Vila Nova de Gaia.
